Block Club events-Allina will help you host a block club event
A Spring ReunionIf you would like to plan a Spring Reunion gathering on your block during the month of MAY to celebrate and connect with one another after a long, cold winter, here are some details about how to do that with the support of the Allina Backyard Initiative and the city's Crime Prevention program.
Before the event
1. Fill out a registration form (attached below) and turn it into one of organizers listed at the bottom of this page at least a week before your event. If you would like to request funding of up to $50 make sure that you indicate that. This funding is only available to blocks within the Backyard and to one block leader per block.
2. Plan your event. It is ideal if you can get help from others on your block.
3. Notify your block of the event. Don Greeley or the Cultural Wellness Center (which hosts the Backyard Initiative) can help you with printing flyers.
4. Buy your supplies with your own money.
During the event
1. Hold your event
2. Have people at the event answer the neighborhood survey questions (attached below).
After the event (within a week)
1. Turn in the summary sheet (attached below), receipts and neighborhood survey questions for your event to an organizer so that you can be reimbursed for up to $50.
2. Share photos of your event by e-mailing them to an address below.
